The interdisciplinary research team led by Dr. Jayakody is working on several projects to find sustainable biobased solutions to key issues such as climate change, plastic pollution, food security, and chronic diseases. The SynMicBio Lab is located at Lifescience II Room 139 & 141. we are currently working on developing technologies for plastic upcycling. See the following video.
